2012洛杉磯台灣文化節15日在羅蘭岡揭幕,僑務委員會副委員長任弘,聯邦眾議員羅伊斯,駐洛杉磯台北經文處處長龔中誠.核桃市市長蘇王秀蘭,僑務委員楊信、高啟正、邱啟宜、伍競群、張自豪、廖介民,洛杉磯僑教中心主任梁崇禮、副主任丘昌生及眾多南加民選官員參加。
主辦方台美文化交流恊會召集人劉永文、理事長溤怡山表示,美食盛宴牛肉麵大賽、台灣多元文化展示、客家文化區、原住民服飾展、台灣文化展覧等,熱鬧活潑,晚上嘉年華演唱會,更邀請了來自台灣的原住民鉄嗓歌手戴愛玪和客家人氣歌手郭少軒,近萬人次擠爆會場。
任弘表示,台灣文化節第一次在洛杉磯舉辦,發起者多是第二代移民,希望運用他們在主流社會的影響力,來推廣台灣文化,並結合僑社力量,讓海外社區、僑社、主流産生互動,譲台灣文化走向世界。
美國客家會館,由客家諮詢委員/僑務委員邱啟宜率隊的台灣客家文化展場,當日除了提供免費3,500份客家糍粑品嚐,主流政要:主流政要:聯邦眾議員外交國防主席( Ed Royce)羅伊斯,南帕薩迪納市長凱斯奧提(Michael A. Cacciotti)
，核桃市市長蘇王秀蘭、鑚石吧巿巿長張玲齡（Lingling Chang）、國會眾議員等到場共享客家特色美食, 分享客家艾草粿和介紹客家文物,. 現場的台灣客庒十二節慶, 幸運大轉輪,贈送僑委會2013年小提燈、客家環保杯、環保餐具,人氣最夯,吸引眾多鄉親排隊一試手氣,希望明年好運天天來。活動日美國加州客家聯合會、美國客家會館、大洛杉磯客家活動中心出動了超過50位客家志工支援,客家社團會長、顧問:涂增銘、范揚隆、姜義正、姜陳玉嬌、陳曉影、謝靜華、傅榮助、姜良淼、沈文楨、洪彩雲、張義興等圽出席盛會與鄕親”打嘴古”。而文化節主題的牛肉麵大賽,一元品嚐牛肉麵人氣旺,活
